Advance is a workforce development program that is implemented in Honduras, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica. The program is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by FHI 360.

The program’s goal is to contribute to new or better employment among selected youth. Advance aims to strengthen the capacity of select tertiary technical institutions with two and three-year degree programs, providing training to disadvantaged youth. Advance is strengthening academic programs related to agribusiness, creative industries, and health and wellness tourism based on the needs of the local labor market. The program also works with institutions to strengthen curricula, faculty and staff professional development, and labor bridging services to help ensure that youth gain new or improved employment upon graduation.
